The Springfield Art Museum is not just a place to see art, but also a place to see friends and make new ones. The Museum produces a number of exciting social events including exhibition opening receptions, fundraisers, and other fun programs. Our 400-seat Auditorium and outdoor Amphitheater provide a venue for an array of music and performing arts programs and the Museum often partners with other community     organizations to play host to special events.

Fundraising Events 

provide an opportunity to have fun while supporting the Museum. The Museum's signature fundraising event is the Ninety-Nine Times Party. This fun evening mixes fashion, food, and fun to benefit the Museum's collection. The Museum is also working to develop other signature events with its support groups and the community. Exhibition Receptions 

celebrate the opening of new exhibitions. These are typically scheduled on the evening before the exhibition officially opens to the public and provides the opportunity to preview the show. Opening Receptions often include light hors d'oeuvres and entertainment, and are free and open to the public. Visit

Community Partnerships

 are programs happening at the Museum that are developed by other community organizations. These programs are typically free and are open to the public. Our past partners/events include: The Springfield-Greene County Library District's "Big Read," Men's Chorus of the Ozarks, SATO 48 Film Festival, Ozarks Public Television and more. Facility Rentals
